This dataset contains anthropometry and moment-angle data collected for 80 participants, in a study of passive neck stiffness and range of motion. Participants were aged 20 to 79 years.

Files are grouped into .zip folders, named by [sex][decade-age-group].

Files are in .xlsx format; there is one file per participant.

File names follow the format [sex][decade-age-group]_[participant number], where:

Sex:

o M: male

o F: female

Decade-age-group:

o 2: 20 to 29 years

o 3: 30 to 39 years

o 4: 40 to 49 years

o 5: 50 to 59 years

o 6: 60 to 69 years

o 7: 70 to 79 years

Participant number is numeric, 1-10, with up to 10 participants in each sex and decade-age-group combination.

“Sheet1” in each file contains anthropometric information for the participant, including age, sex, body height and mass, head girth (passing through glabella and opisthocranion), neck girth (passing through C4) and dominant hand.

Subsequent sheets contain moment-angle data for individual trials. The first column (angle) represents the head-torso rotational angle in the tested direction, measured in degrees. The second column (moment) contains the applied moment on the participant’s neck, in units of Nm/degree.
