Experimental results of atoms bouncing from the tip of the fibre due to too near detuning of the dipole trap.
In this case the dipole trap is too near detuned from the D1 transition causing a high scattering rate, resulting in large upward forces that slow the descent and reject atoms that approach the fibre.
